Our church is nestled in the small community of Saluda, North Carolina, on the edge of the Appalachian Mountains. First Baptist is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention, and we are conservative as well as biblical in our approach to ministry. Our mission is to GLORIFY GOD by leading all people into a life-changing, ever-growing relationship with Christ. We believe in a process of making disciples that enables believers to be filled with God's Spirit and to be equipped to use their spiritual gifts in ministry. The Early Church devoted itself to the four spiritual principles of discipleship, fellowship, the gospel and prayer (Acts 2:42). As they devoted themselves to these principles, they were filled with the Spirit, and as a result, they were empowered by the Spirit to minister, worship, evangelize and be unified (Acts 2:43-47). FBC Saluda is devoted to these four spiritual principles, believing that as we personally devotes ourselves to these principles, we will also be empowered to minister, worship, evangelize and be unified.
